Growing demand for virtual data rooms in the area of industrial and residential real estate

Data Room Services realizes significant growth in sub-segments of the real-estate industry

Frankfurt, June 25th, 2010 - Data Room Services GmbH & Co. KG, a provider of virtual data rooms for the internal and external exchange of confidential documents and a market leader in the area of real-estate, has observed a recovery of the real-estate market and recorded increased demand for virtual data rooms in the first half of 2010 based on rising transaction volumes in the marketplace.

Particularly in the residential segment, demand for virtual data rooms has increased significantly, 25% over the previous year. In the area of commercial real-estate sales, demand for virtual data rooms has also again increased due to the recovery of the market. This positive development is mainly attributed to increased activity in the segment of industrial real-estate, which played more of a minor role in the data room business before the real-estate crisis.

Data Room Services enthusiastically looks forward to the second half of 2010. "It remains to be seen whether the positive trend from the first half of the year continues", remarks Alexandre Grellier, managing director of Data Room Services.
